A SIP Trunk is a simultaneous call that is routed by the IP carrier using VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology. SIP Trunks are a modern replacement for digital and analogue circuits. Call quality is maintained as less jumping during call transportation is required, even if the receiver is analogue, the call will be transported the entire journey and only converted to analogue in the last leg. Previously this call would have been converted several times and call quality lost.
